Painted Apron {Inktense pencils on Fabric!}

I have Inktense pencils and they are fun to use. A little tricky to keep everything from bleeding and getting blurry. Maybe using stencils and canvas would help. I like this video and thought you would, too.

Winter Walk

Today DH and I drove to Bailey Island and walked around Land's End a bit.

Bill ventured down to the beach while I took pics near the fisherman statue.

Jaquish Island

Then we headed over to the Giant Staircase, one of our favorite walks.

No bicycles today.

I always love this cottage. The whole walk is lined with shingled cottages, most of the a reasonable small size, not the overlarge type.

At the end of the walk, this beautiful little cove with crashing waves.
Maine is always beautiful, even in the winter.

This and That

Friday night DH and I went to an art show reception at the Brunswick Library. Bill's niece Mandy was having a show with a friend, Abigail Robbins.

Papier mache birds by Abby
 Abby and Mandy
(Abby knit her sweater! Mandy crocheted her mitts!)
Handmade rubber stamps

Encaustic paintings
These are small, about the size of a deck of cards

The show is open through February 28 at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick.

Love this painting of a little girl by Lisi Martin. an artist from Spain.
I am embroidering a Holly Hobbie piece right now that reminds me of this lovely little girl. So sweet and a breath of summer here in the frozen north.

Show and Tell at our quilt group. Kathy Boudreau made this red quilt. The colors are perfect for Valentine's Day.

Here's another quilt, unfinished but close! Can't remember whose this belongs to, but she started it long ago and dug it out of the UFO bin recently and worked on it. Nice!
